The department wants to help businesses, communities and regulated facilities better understand environmental regulations — and avoid associated violations. The department's compliance and enforcement team members work with the regulated community to ensure compliance with environmental laws. In order to assist the regulated community, and help avoid issues before they occur, the department offers in-person compliance assistance visits. Regulated entities may request a compliance assistance visit by completing the Compliance Assistance Visit online form, or by contacting the department's regional office in their area.
