The department provides funding to help operators who work for qualifying systems to obtain and renew their certifications. The department mails voucher packets to eligible water and wastewater systems each year in January. Vouchers expire Dec. 31 each year and may be used as payment for drinking water operator certification examinations, renewals and voucher-approved water training.
Drinking Water Operator Certification Training Voucher Program

Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification Training Voucher Program
Eligible wastewater treatment facilities are those with domestic wastewater discharges of less than 1.0 million gallons/day flow and state regulations require operation by a certified operator.
