Administrative Policies and Procedures

These policies and procedures are designed to provide information regarding working conditions, employee benefits and the policies affecting employment at the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. They describe the responsibilities of department team members and outline benefits provided to employees. The department's goal is to provide a work environment that is favorable to both personal and professional growth.

• Policy - A policy describes “what”. It is the behavior or action expected of staff. It is a value statement and principle that helps people makes decisions.
• Procedure - A procedure describes “how”. It is a way of doing something or getting something done, especially by a series of steps. It can contain forms or templates used to begin, document and approve an action taken to implement a policy.
