If your business plans to operate a car wash that will include a wastewater treatment system with design flows of 50,000 gallons per day or less, which includes a no-discharge land application system and provides for 500 gallons per day de minimis exemption under certain conditions, you must obtain a Car Wash MO-G750000 general permit. |

Fuel Spill Cleanup Permit (Petroleum Impacted Water Remediation) MOG940000
If your business discharges wastewater or stormwater associated with petroleum impacted water at any industrial or commercial facility, you must obtain a Petroleum Impacted Water Remediation MOG940000 master general permit. |

Hazardous Waste Emergency Permit
If your business or the department has identified an immediate and significant threat to human health or the environment based on hazardous waste issues at your facility, the department may issue a Hazardous Waste Emergency Permit. The department may issue an emergency permit to a company that already has a hazardous waste permit, to allow them to treat, store or dispose of a hazardous waste not covered by their effective permit. The department may also issue an emergency permit to non-permitted companies, to allow them to temporarily treat, store or dispose of hazardous waste. The emergency permit clearly specifies the hazardous wastes the company intends to handle and how they are allow to treat, store or dispose of the wastes. An emergency permit can be effective for up to 90 days. |

Land Application of Domestic Wastewater Permit MOG823000
If your business is a no-discharge, private or domestic wastewater treatment facility with design flows of less than 50,000 gallons per day and land apply the wastewater, design flows of less than 50,000 gallons per day and plan to land apply the wastewater, you must obtain a Land Application of Domestic Wastewater MOG823000 master general permit. |

Motor Vehicle Salvage Master General Stormwater Permit MOR60A000
If your business plans to scrap metal or vehicles for recycling or resale purposes, you are required to obtain a Motor Vehicle Salvage Master General Stormwater Permit MOR60A000 to address stormwater discharges from your property. |

Open Burning
Open burning is the burning of any materials in which air contaminants are emitted directly into the air without first passing through a stack or chimney. The department's fact sheet summarizes allowable and prohibited open burning under Missouri regulations. It does not include open burning restrictions that city or county governments may impose in addition to Missouri’s state regulations. Prior to conducting any open burning, businesses and citizens should contact the city or county of jurisdiction for any local restrictions. |

Public Drinking Water Construction Permit
If your business plans to construct a public water system that will supply drinking water to the public, you must obtain a Public Water Systems Construction Permit. You must obtain this permit if you also plan to complete the following construction projects to the water system: waterline extensions, waterline replacements, drilling water supply well, construction a storage tank, adding a disinfection system, treatment changes, building a pump station or other improvements or modifications. A public water system has at least 15 service connections or serves at least 25 people at least 60 days out of the year. If your business plans to connect to a permitted public water system, then you are not required to obtain this permit. |

A public water system has at least 15 service connections or serves at least 25 people at least 60 days out of the year. If your business plans to connect to a permitted public water system, then you are not required to obtain this permit. |

Scrap Tire Collection Center
If your business plans to collect scrap tires prior to being offered for recycling or processing and plans to keep fewer than 500 scrap tires on-site at any time, your facility is not required to obtain a permit. However, there are exemptions and record keeping requirements. Also, the center shall be used only for the proper and temporary storage of scrap tires that will be removed for recovery or processing or for temporary storage at a permitted scrap tire processing facility for permanent disposal at a permitted solid waste disposal area. |

Scrap Tire Processing Facility
If your business plans to operate a facility to reduce the volume of scrap tires by shredding, cutting, buffing, chipping, baling or otherwise altered so they can be recycled, used for resource recovery or disposed of, you will be required to apply for a Scrap Tire Processing Facility Permit. |

Underground Petroleum Storage Tank Registration
If your business includes an underground storage tank on the property used to store either petroleum or certain hazardous substances or if you plan to have a tank installed for these reasons, you may be required to submit an Underground Storage Tank Registration with the department. |
