Each year, communities across the country mark Oct. 30 as National Weatherization Day and Missouri is no exception. Weatherization Day is an opportunity to highlight the impact of Missouri's Low-income Weatherization Assistance Program. This day celebrates the program's work in improving the health of our citizens and supporting jobs and small businesses by improving home energy efficiency and safety.
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources works in partnership with a statewide network of local community action agencies and non-profit agencies to provide home energy audit and weatherization services for low-income families of Missouri. Every dollar invested in weatherization returns $1.72 in energy savings
