Knox County Public Water Supply District No. 1 is requesting bids for a Water Distribution Improvements project. Separate sealed bids may be submitted to Knox County Public Water Supply District No. 1, 101 E. Main St., Knox City, MO 63446, until Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, at 2 p.m. local time. At that time, all bids received will be publicly opened and read. 

The project consists of installing approximately 43,140 feet of waterline, a pre-fabricated booster pump station, and related appurtenances (Contract No. 1), and constructing a new 100,000 gallon elevated tank (Contract No. 2).

This project is financed through the Missouri State Revolving Fund and federal Capitalization Grants to Missouri. Neither the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, its divisions, nor its employees will be party to the contract at any tier.

Obtaining the Bidding Documents

Printed or electronic copies of the bidding documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon submitting a nonrefundable $75 fee for each set. Upon request the documents may be shipped by priority mail or standard ground service at no additional charge. Expedited shipping is at the expense of the bidder. Partial sets of bidding documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither the owner nor engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of bidding documents, including addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the issuing office. 

Instructions to Bidders

Bids shall be on a Unit Price and Lump Sum basis as indicated on the bid forms. Bid security shall be furnished according to the Instructions to Bidders. 

This project is subject to American Iron and Steel (AIS) and Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements. 

Bidders on this work will be required to comply with 29 C.F.R. Part 30 and 42 U.S.C. Subchapter VI Equal Employment. Knox County Public Water Supply District No. 1 is an Equal Opportunity Employer and invites the submission of bids from Women and Minority Disadvantaged Business Enterprises.
