On May 26, 2026, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources issued a final Solid Waste Disposal Area Construction Permit for the Presidio Environmental Repository Facility. This permit allows Pettis County Development Co. LLC to construct the Presidio Environmental Repository Facility, which is to be used for disposing municipal solid waste, bulky waste, demolition and construction waste, brush and wood waste, soil, rock concrete, tires and inert solids.
The department issued this permit after a thorough technical review of the permit application and opportunity for public comment on the draft construction permit. Please be aware that any parties adversely affected or aggrieved by the department’s decision to issue the final permit, or specific conditions of the permit may be entitled to pursue an appeal before the Administrative Hearing Commission by filing a written petition by June 25, 2026, as provided in Missouri Revised Statutes section 621.250.3, RSMo.
