The city of Atlanta, Missouri is requesting bids for constructing waterline distribution improvements. Sealed bids may be submitted to City of Atlanta, 104 E. Main St., Atlanta, MO 63530, until Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 2 p.m. local time. At that time, all bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The work to be performed under this contract consists of installing approximately 11,400 lineal feet of 6” waterline, approximately 2,300 lineal feet of 3” waterline, small quantities of 4” and 2” waterline, and related appurtenances and demolishing the existing standpipe.
This project is financed through the Missouri State Revolving Fund and federal Capitalization Grants to Missouri. Neither the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, its divisions, nor its employees will be party to the contract at any tier.
Obtaining the Bidding Documents
The Issuing Office for the bidding documents is Four Points Land Surveying and Engineering Inc., 17 Northport Plaza, Hannibal, MO 63401. Prospective
Bidders may examine the bidding documents at the issuing office, Monday through Friday, between 7:30 am and 5 pm. Printed or electronic copies of the bidding documents may be obtained from the issuing office, upon submitting a non-refundable $75 fee for each set. Upon request the documents may be shipped by priority mail or standard ground service at no additional charge. Expedited shipping is at the expense of the bidder. Partial sets of the bidding documents will not be available from the issuing office.
Bidding documents also may be examined at the city of Atlanta’s office at 104 E. Main St., Atlanta, MO 63530, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, between 8 am and 5 pm. Neither the owner nor engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of bidding documents, including addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the issuing office.
Instructions to Bidders
Bids shall be on a Unit Price and Lump Sum basis as indicated on the bid form. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The city of Atlanta reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities in the bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the bid opening.
Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President’s Executive Order Number 11246. Requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the specifications. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and Davis Bacon and/or State Prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract, Segregated Facility, Section 109, and E.O. 11246. MBE, WBE and Section 3-DBE bidders are encouraged to bid.
