The department is inviting the public to review and offer comments on the Request for Proposals package for the Onsite Wastewater Treatment System Grant program until April 15, 2026. All comments must be received by 5 p.m. The public can review the proposed package below.
Written comments may be submitted by email to DNR.SRFPublicNotice@dnr.mo.gov. For questions regarding the proposed package, solicitation process, evaluation or other components of the grant program, please contact the department’s Financial Assistance Center.
Once released, the Request for Proposals will invite qualified non-profit organizations to apply for funding made available through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund. A total of $3 million is proposed to be made available to one or more non-profits to assist homeowners in select Missouri watersheds with failing on-site wastewater treatment systems (septic systems and single-family lagoons). The funding will help reduce public health and environmental concerns related to untreated or minimally treated sewage and other household water rich in nutrients and bacteria entering Missouri’s watersheds and aquifers.
