The city of Bunceton, Missouri is requesting bids for the construction of the Wastewater System Improvements - Contract 1: Wastewater Collection System Improvements and Contract 2: Wastewater Treatment. Separate sealed proposals may be submitted to City of Bunceton, at City Hall, 103 East Main Street, Bunceton, MO 65237, until Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 2 p.m. local time. At that time, all bids received will be publicly opened and read. 

This project is financed through the Missouri State Revolving Fund, by the Water and Wastewater Loan Revolving Fund and federal Capitalization Grants to Missouri.

Obtaining the Bidding Documents

The Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans and Specifications, Performance Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the following:

Copies may be obtained at the office of MECO Engineering Co., 2701 Industrial Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109. A non-refundable $150 fee is required for Plans and Specifications.

Instructions to Bidders

Any bids received after the above deadline will be returned unopened.

Each bidder must deposit with their bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The award of Contracts on this project shall be predicated upon competitive bidding, and satisfactory performance of past work and past work with the City. Said Bidder shall be determined for the Contract by summarizing the applicable low base bids and selection by the City Council based on past performance of work.

The city of Bunceton reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities in the bids. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days subsequent to the specified time for receipt of bids.

Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President’s Executive Order Number 11246. Requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the specifications. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and Davis Bacon and/or State Prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract, Segregated Facility, Section 109, and E.O. 11246. MBE, WBE and Section 3-DBE bidders are encouraged to bid.
