The Missouri Department of Natural Resources completed it's updates to Missouri’s Nonpoint Source Management Plan. This five-year action plan describes how the state will improve and protect water quality impacted or threatened by nonpoint source pollution from 2026-2031. The department is making the plan available for public review and comment until Feb. 9, 2026. The public can review the draft plan below.

Updates to the plan include revisions to the goals, objectives, performance measures, milestones and strategies for achieving improved water quality. The goals and objectives were updated with input from key partnering stakeholders.
