The application period for Water Safety and Security Act Project Grants is now open. Complete project applications received by Jan. 31, 2026, will be ranked competitively and awarded in order of priority rank. Applications received between Feb. 1, 2026 through March 31, 2026, may be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis if available funds remain. Through this grant program, the department provides financial assistance to eligible community public water systems to satisfy the requirements of the Missouri Water Safety and Security Act. The grant offers up to $15,000 in reimbursement funding to develop valve and hydrant inspection programs and accurate maps of system shut-off valve and hydrant locations using a geographic information system or an alternative physical mapping system.
