Separate, sealed bid propaosals endrosed "Wastewwater Treatment Improvements" will be received by the City of La Monte ntil 11 a.m. local time on July 29, 2025 at City Hall, 110 E. Pine St., La Monte, Missouri, 65337, then at that time will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bids reeived after the time and date specified may not be considered.
Contract A generally includes the provision of wastewater improvements to the Southeast Lagoon system related to construction of a nutrient reduction system, an ultraviolet disinfection system with an alternate shelter style roof, control system improvements, effluent flow measurement improvements, emergency power, various site improvements and related work. Also included is minor site work at the Northwest Lagoon.
Contract B generally includes organic sludge reduction for the three cells of the Southeast Lagoon System and for the single cell Northwest Lagoon facilities.
Obtaining the Bidding Documents
Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, and Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 11:00 a.m., and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office by paying $175.00 for each set. Make checks for Bidding Documents payable to OWN, Inc. No refunds will be given to any Bidders for any reason
Instructions to Bidders
Bidders may bid on either or both contracts.
Wage rates paid on construction work for this project shall be at least equal to the prevailing wage rates as specified in the contract documents and specifications. State wage rates are applicable.

In order to be accurately registered as an eligible plan holder, contract documents must be obtained from QuestCDN.com or OWN, Inc., and must accurately register as a plan holder. Bid documents submitted that were obtained through a 3rd party will be considered non-responsive.
The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects or to reject any or all bids and to re-advertise and to rebid. Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount of five percent (5%) of his/her base bid which is subject to conditions provided in the EJCDC C-200 Instructions to Bidders.
