Qualification Evaluation
The commission experienced recent failures of the transmission mains (12-inch and 8-inch parallel lines) following the loss of electrical power to the Perry Booster Pump Station. The commission is requesting an analysis to determine the cause of the failures and recommendations for surge protection to prevent future failures of the system. The pump station surge analysis services include providing a technical memorandum summarizing the results which were modeled in Bentley’s HAMMER surge analysis software, as well as recommendations for improvement. Funding for the project is through the Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Financial Assistance Center.
