The Missouri Department of Natural Resources and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are hosting a public outreach meeting to discuss flood resiliency near Missouri River mile marker 142. Both agency's will present information at 5 p.m., and repeat the presentations at 6:15 p.m. An open house with informational stations will be open between the two presentations and again after the second presentation until the meeting adjourns at 7:30 p.m.

The Jefferson City Study area includes the current area of the Capital View levee and the authorized, but never constructed, L-142 levee near Jefferson City, Missouri. The agency's are seeking public input about the flooding problems in the area and the factors that are important to finding a locally preferred plan to reduce the risk of flood damages or improve resiliency in that location. Additional information about the study will be available on the department's Lower Missouri River Flood Resiliency Studies webpage.
