The Volkswagen Trust Advisory Committee is made up of stakeholders interested in reducing air emissions through the use of Volkswagen Trust Funds. When the department created the advisory committee, the department opened membership to everyone. Interested citizens joined by submitting an online form.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Volkswagen Trust Advisory Committee members includes: 

  • Attending Volkswagen Trust Advisory Committee meetings
  • Helping the department's Air Pollution Control Program review comments and suggestions
  • Advising the air program as it developed its draft of the 10-year beneficiary mitigation plan
  • Providing input and advice regarding Missouri's use of trust funds
