The Missouri Department of Natural Resources describes a Transportation Equipment, Industrial or Commercial Machinery business as:
A business that manufactures or sells equipment for transporting people and goods. Establishments in this subsector are primarily engaged in manufacturing machinery, equipment and parts. They use production processes similar to those of other machinery manufacturing establishments – bending, forming, welding, machining and assembling metal or plastic parts into components and finished products. Industrial machinery and equipment may also include water and air pollution control equipment and solid waste disposal facilities.
