Smithfield Hog Production-Valleyview Farm Draft Missouri State Operating Permit Public Comment Period, Aug 7, 2026 to Aug. 24, 2026
Murphy-Brown of Missouri LLC applied for authorization to either discharge to waters of the state, or to operate a no-discharge wastewater treatment facility. The department proposes to issue a Missouri State Operating Permit for the Smithfield Hog Production-Valleyview Farm, subject to certain effluent limitations, schedules and special conditions. The department invites the public to review and offer written comments on the proposed permit conditions until Aug. 24, 2026.
