Ste. Genevieve

Nexgen Silica is hosting an informal public meeting to discuss a new mine site in St. Genevieve county. The department received a permit application from Nexgen Silica for a proposed 249-acre sandstone mine site. The site is located along U.S. Highway 32, approximately one-half mile from Hawn State Park. The mine plan covers property owned by six different landowners, all of whom have given signed consent. The department, Missouri Department of Conservation and Division of Economic Development will attend the public meeting to help answer questions. 

There is a $5 fee for each CRT computer monitor, $20 for each LED/ LCD/ Plasma television, $30 for each CRT television 26" and smaller and $50 for each CRT television 27" and larger and any size console/ LDP/ Rear Projection television. Only cash and checks will be accepted. All other electronic items accepted FREE of charge. Other household items will also be collected. For more information, call 855-MRC-RECYCLE.
