NOTE: Effective mid-April 2024, the federal government will report monthly propane prices during the non-heating season. Visit the U.S. Energy Information Administration for these data. These data provide better information than what the department can supply. The department will no longer separately publish average propane prices.

Twice a month, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources provides a summary of pricing for E-85 and B-20. Data are gathered through calls to Missouri businesses. The department also surveys a sample of propane distributors during the heating season (October – March) to obtain pricing information. The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Energy Information Administration (EIA) analyzes these propane price data in concert with information from other states as part of DOE's State Heating Oil and Propane Program and publishes national weekly, monthly and annual petroleum product prices and supply data.

The Division of Energy reports on surveyed E-85 and B-20 prices for policymakers and energy consumers. In addition, the Missouri Energy Bulletin Data Tool provides access to data from the prior version of the Missouri Energy Bulletin that updates automatically with data from EIA.
