Twice a month, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources provides a summary of pricing for E-85 and B-20. Data is gathered through calls to Missouri businesses. The department's Division of Energy reports on surveyed E-85 and B-20 prices for policymakers and energy consumers.
The department also surveys a sample of propane distributors during the heating season (October – March) to obtain pricing information. The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Energy Information Administration (EIA) analyzes these propane price data along with information from other states as part of DOE's State Heating Oil and Propane Program. EIA publishes national weekly, monthly and annual petroleum product prices and supply data. Please visit these EIA webpages for those prices and data.
Current Bulletin
Effective April 2024, the federal government reports monthly propane prices during the non-heating season. That data provides better information than what the department can supply. The department will no longer separately publish average propane prices.
