Circle bins can be very simple, quick to make, neat to use and cost very little.
Materials:
- 12 feet of snow fencing
- Four 10-inch lengths of mechanic’s wire or a wire coat hanger
Tools:
- Wire or tin snips
- Work gloves
Simply roll out and cut a 12-foot length of snow fence. Fasten the ends together with short lengths of mechanic’s wire or old hanger wire. Place the bin where the compost pile is to be started and start building the heap inside the bin. To turn the compost pile, remove the end wires and reassemble the cylinder next to the pile. Simply turn the compost material into the bin.
