Rebecca McKinstry was named as Deputy General Counsel for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources in March 2021. She oversees Missouri State Parks legal matters, assists the Division of Administrative Support and helps oversee various General Counsel Office responsibilities and projects.
Rebecca previously served as the Deputy Director of the State Environmental Improvement and Energy Resources Authority and as Legal Counsel to the Division of State Parks. Before joining the department in 2016, Rebecca served as an Attorney Advisor for the U.S. Social Security Administration. Her government service began with the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, where she interned in the Agriculture and Environment Division and served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Governmental Affairs Division. Rebecca is a graduate of the University of Missouri - Columbia's School of Law.
