Brian Stith has served as Deputy Director of Resources for the department's Missouri State Parks since August 2020. He oversees the Cultural Resource Management Program; Grants, Recreation and Interpretation Program; Natural Resource Management Program; Planning and Development Program and State Historic Preservation Office.
Brian began his career with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources over 25 years ago, starting at the Missouri State Museum in July 1995. Most recently, Brian served as Deputy Director of the Missouri State Parks Eastern Region. During his career with state parks, he has also served as Chief of the Interpretation Development section, Assistant District Supervisor in the eastern parks district and District Supervisor in the southern Missouri historic district. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in history, with a minor in geography, from the University of Missouri.
