JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MAY 3, 2023 – The birds have returned! It’s an exciting time of year and the annual Wings over Weston event is back at Weston Bend State Park. Come celebrate the return of spring and of our colorful migratory birds.

The free feathered fun for the whole family event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 6. There will be arts and crafts, hands-on activities, guided bird walks and opportunities to build your own birdhouse, along with the opportunity to meet live birds. 

All activities will be held at the Bee Creek Shelter, located .50 mile west of the parks’ main entrance on Highway 45 North. The event will be held rain or shine and all items and activities are first come-first served while supplies last.
