JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MAY 19, 2026 – The Thousand Hills State Park team invites the public to join them for the ribbon cutting of the park’s renovated beach project at 10 a.m. Friday, May 22.
The renovation includes a swim beach with ADA access, improved drainage and a new restroom facility. In addition, the project includes areas for picnicking and a shed to house an accessible beach chair. The new beach will be open daily through Labor Day from sunrise to sunset.
Following the ribbon cutting, guests are invited to stay for the park’s annual public meeting. Representatives from the park will be on hand to provide information about the park and to answer questions. The public is invited to share comments and ask questions about the park and its operations.
