JEFFERSON CITY, MO, APRIL 3, 2023 – Mastodon State Historic Site is hosting a spring story time series featuring different themes that include nature-related stories and activities. While the program is best suited for families with children under 6 years old, all ages are welcome. The themes, times and dates for the programs are as follows:
- Terrific Trees – 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8.
- Diggin’ in the Dirt – 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30.
- Let’s Go on a Hike! – 10 a.m. Saturday, May 20. This will be followed by an optional half-mile guided hike on the Wildflower Trail. This trail has steps and uneven ground. If interested in the hike, please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.
Programs will meet in the museum auditorium and are free and open to the public. Please call the museum office at 636-464-2976 for more information and to register. Mastodon State Historic Site is located at 1050 Charles J. Becker Drive in Imperial.
