JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JULY 3, 2022 – Join park team members from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 16 to help celebrate the reopening of Lewis and Clark State Park. 

This fun evening program features park team members discussing the history of Lewis and Clark, singing songs and serving up s’mores! S’mores, a 1927 delicacy invented by the Girl Scouts, will be free while supplies last. Napkins and hand wipes will be available.

Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, insect repellent, sunblock and any other outdoor comforts, such as nonalcoholic beverages and other snacks. Guests are invited to get comfortable while enjoying a beautiful sunset over Bean Lake as the 2022 Amelia Earhart Festival in Atchison, Kansas, comes to an end.
