JEFFERSON CITY, MO, OCT. 20, 2025 – Rosie Schulte, a fiscal and administrative manager with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Missouri Geological Survey, is the State of Missouri and MoDNR Team Member of the Month for October 2025. She was selected for her work coordinating the fiscal and accounting-related operations of MoDNR’s Land Reclamation Program.

As part of her usual duties, Schulte shepherds all program-related accounting tasks, including maintenance and replacement of vehicles, computers and software, and management of multiple federal grants totaling more than $8 million. She leads by example, exhibiting the department’s values of stewardship, integrity, collaboration, innovation and respect.

Schulte has provided 34 years of service to MoDNR. In addition to her usual job requirements, Schulte was recognized for her willingness to proactively take on additional duties to assist the Land Reclamation Program. She has assisted the program through staffing shortages, with suggestions on dividing tasks until vacancies are filled. She also finds solutions for long-held and overlooked issues, including developing a process for the accurate accounting and inventory of land reclamation bonds.

“Rosie has a can-do attitude and the willingness to go the extra distance no matter how tough it may be. She never shirks a task of any kind and always steps up to help others,” said Guy Frazier, director of the Land Reclamation Program, who nominated Schulte for the award. “Without a doubt, the program is certainly blessed to have her.”

Schulte joined the Missouri Department of Natural Resources in November 1991 and resides in Eugene.
