Meetings will include Johnson’s Shut-Ins, Taum Sauk Mountain, Jay Nixon and Sam A. Baker state parks
JEFFERSON CITY, MO, OCT. 8, 2022 – Team members from Missouri State Parks invite the public to attend informational meetings throughout the state to provide their input and comments and to ask questions about the park and its operations. The Saturday, Oct. 22 town hall meetings are as follows:
- Sam A. Baker State Park: 10 a.m. at Shelter #1, 5580 State Highway 143 in Patterson. For more information about this meeting, please call 573-856-4411.
- Combined meeting for Johnson’s Shut-Ins, Taum Sauk Mountain and Jay Nixon state parks: 6 p.m. at Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park’s campground store shelter, 148 Taum Sauk Trail in Middle Brook. For more information about this meeting, please call 573-546-2450.
Input from the public is important to Missouri State Parks. These informational meetings are being held virtually or in person in all state parks and historic sites to help create two-way communication with the public. The meetings will inform the public on the current status and future plans for the park or historic site and offer visitors the opportunity to comment on the facilities.
