JEFFERSON CITY, MO, AUG. 6, 2024 – The public is invited to attend public meetings that are being held throughout the state at parks and historic sites. Representatives from Missouri State Parks will be on hand to provide information about the park and answer questions. The public is encouraged to share comments about the park and its operations.
Dates and times of parks and historic sites holding in-person meetings in August include the following:
- Saturday, Aug. 10 at 1 p.m. – Edward “Ted” and Pat Jones-Confluence Point State Park, Katy Trail
Eastern Section and First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site at 2000 S. Main St. in St. Charles. - Sunday, Aug. 11 at 1 p.m. – Katy Trail – Mid-Eastern Section at the Treloar Trailhead on the Katy Trail.
- Thursday, Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. – Bryant Creek State Park, 1204 Private Drive 3422 in Ava.
- Saturday, Aug. 17 at 10 a.m. – Sam A. Baker State Park, 5580 State Highway 143 in Patterson.
Input from the public is important to Missouri State Parks. These informational meetings are being held virtually or in-person in all state parks and historic sites to help create two-way communication with the public. The meetings will inform the public on the current status and future plans for the park or historic site and offer visitors the opportunity to comment on the facilities.
