JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MAY 13, 2024 – The public is invited to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Meramec State Park’s two new playgrounds beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18.

Following the ceremony, there will be an open house-style public meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Representatives from Missouri State Parks will be on hand to provide information about the park and answer questions. Both the ribbon-cutting ceremony and the public meeting will take place near the day-use area playground.

Public input is important to Missouri State Parks. These informational meetings are being held virtually or in-person in all state parks and historic sites to help create two-way communication with the public. The meetings will inform the public on the current status and future plans for the park or historic site, and offer visitors the opportunity to comment on the facilities.
