JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MARCH 7, 2022 – Interpreters at Nathan and Olive Boone Homestead State Historic Site invite the public to grab a cup of coffee and join them virtually at noon Friday, March. 18 on the Nathan and Olive Boone Homestead State Historic Site’s Facebook page to learn about the women of the Boone Homestead.

Much of the Boone legacy centers on the men's adventures in the wilderness. However, it was the women of the homestead who kept the home fires burning. In this program, Melissa Blank, assistant site superintendent, explores the lives and contributions of the women of the Boone Homestead.
