Release Date

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JUNE 20, 2022 – The sounds of the outdoors vary at Lake of the Ozarks State Park. From the beautiful calls of songbirds to the singing of cicadas, the sounding off of wildlife can tell you many things if you know what to listen for.

Pull up a chair or take a seat at the main campground amphitheater at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 2, to learn what makes the sounds you hear on the trail or outside your tent.

Lake of the Ozarks State Park is located off Highway 42 in Kaiser. From Osage Beach, follow Highway 42 for 5 miles to reach the main campground. For more information, call 573-346-2500. In the event of inclement weather, the program will be canceled.
