Brown cantilever sign that says “Thank you for visiting Lewis and Clark State Park. Missouri Department of Natural Resources”

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JUNE 29, 2024 – The public is invited to attend an open house-style public meeting for Lewis and Clark State Park from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday July 6.

Representatives from Missouri State Parks will be on hand to provide information about the park and answer any questions the public may have. The public is encouraged to share comments about the park and its operations.

The meeting will be held in conjunction with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the park’s new Independence Trail.

Input from the public is important to Missouri State Parks. These public meetings are held at all state parks and historic sites and help to create two-way communication with the public. The meetings give representatives the opportunity to provide updates on the park’s status and future plans while offering visitors the chance to comment on the facilities.

Lewis and Clark State Park is located at 801 Lake Crest Blvd. in Rushville. For questions, please contact Lewis and Clark State Park at 816-579-5564.
