Release Date

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MAY 2, 2023 –Kids can learn how to create a nature journal at Bennett Spring State Park from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at the park’s nature center. When they’re finished, park team members will lead participants on a hike on the Oak-Hickory Trail to discover nature.

During the hike, participants are encouraged to record their thoughts, feelings and observations about their surroundings. The Oak-Hickory Trail is less than .50-mile in length. All journal supplies are provided and participants should wear closed-toe shoes for the hike.
