JEFFERSON CITY, MO, APRIL 18, 2022 – Missouri State Museum presents Daniel Boone in Missouri as part of their ongoing “Landing After Hours” series from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 4. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to join local historian Henry Gensky as he shares the life and times of Daniel Boone and his family in this state.
The Spanish government invited Daniel Boone and his family to move to Missouri. The Boones arrived in St. Louis in October 1799 and settled near Defiance. Daniel lived in Missouri until his death in 1820.
This program will be held in person at Jefferson Landing State Historic Site and livestreamed on the Missouri State Museum’s Facebook page: facebook.com/MissouriStateMuseum/.
The Missouri State Museum’s “Landing After Hours” events are held the first Wednesday of each month. Jefferson Landing State Historic Site is located at 100 Jefferson St. in Jefferson City.
