JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MARCH 22, 2022 – Missouri State Museum presents German Missourians at Statehood as part of their ongoing “Landing After Hours” series from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 6 2. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to join interpretive aide Stephana Landwehr as she shares historic maps, images, documents and more about Missouri's earliest German citizens.

Two German Missourians were among the 41 delegates elected to the constitutional convention in 1820. Find out what they  did at the convention and afterward. Learn about the shifts in political views they witnessed between statehood and the Civil War.

This program will be held in person at Jefferson Landing State Historic Site and livestreamed on the Missouri State Museum’s Facebook page: facebook.com/MissouriStateMuseum/.

The Missouri State Museum’s “Landing After Hours” events are held the first Wednesday of each month. Jefferson Landing State Historic Site is located at 100 Jefferson St. in Jefferson City.
