JEFFERSON CITY, MO, SEPT. 24, 2022 – Join children of all ages at the 1860s Children’s Day event at Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8.
Guests will have the opportunity to learn what life was like in the 1860s by participating in common chores and games of the time period. Activities include washing clothes with a washboard, dipping candles, making rag dolls, walking on stilts and more.
The event is free and open to the public. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be canceled.
