JEFFERSON CITY, MO, DEC. 30, 2023 – Join the team at Arrow Rock State Historic Site as they partner with the Missouri River Bird Observatory for a Happy Healthy Home Family Day at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13. Guests can try recipes that reduce the amount of plastic waste in their homes and discover fun ways to upcycle everyday items into garden treasures.

The event will be set up in stations, where visitors can make and take samples of bath salts, laundry detergent and garden crafts. All supplies will be provided. There will also be a homemade chocolate sauce demonstration as well as hot cocoa. Participants are invited to share their favorite cookie recipe as well as samples. Prizes will be awarded for the most delicious cookie and the most creative cookie. All ages are welcome to participate, however space is limited. Children under 16 need to be supervised by an adult.

Come and learn fun ways to improve habitat for wildlife. Arrow Rock State Historic Site is located at 39521 Visitor Center Drive in Arrow Rock, Missouri.
