JEFFERSON CITY, MO, OCT. 27, 2023 – Arrow Rock State Historic Site is hosting a Halloween Spooktacular event on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Activities include:

  • 4-7 p.m. – Tram rides.
  • 4-6 p.m. – Halloween crafts, games and face painting.
  • 5-7 p.m. – Trick-or-treating through the campground.
  • 6 p.m. – A pet costume contest with prizes.
  • 6:30 p.m. – Judging of a campsite-decorating contest with prizes for the best decorated campsite.

The event is free and open to the public. Complimentary hot dogs, chips and water will be available. All of the activities will take place in the campground.

Prior to the Halloween Spooktacular, the J. Huston Tavern will host a pumpkin carving and decorating contest. Pumpkins will be available for $5 each, starting at 2 p.m. Judging begins at 3:30 p.m. at the tavern with prizes awarded.

Arrow Rock State Historic Site is located at 39521 Visitor Center Drive in Arrow Rock.
