JEFFERSON CITY, MO, OCT. 15, 2022 – Attention all goblins, ghosts and creatures of the night! Join team members at Sam A. Baker State Park for an evening of Halloween frights and fun. The haunting in the park begins at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29.

Come dressed in your favorite costume and trick-or-treat your way around the campground. Halloween games and other activities, food and haunted hikes will be a part of the festivities. Don’t miss the bounce houses, funnel cakes and performances by the Greenville Rockin’ Bears Band. End the evening with s’mores around a campfire. Activities will take place around the Mudlick Mountain Store and Grill. Visitors are encouraged to bring a flashlight.

Event schedule:

  • 3-5 p.m. – Trick-or-treating in the campground.
  • 3-6 p.m. – Face painting, bounce house, fortunetelling, photo booth and bingo.
  • 3-8 p.m. – Games, campfire, s’mores and free food.
  • 4-6 p.m. – Trunk-or-treat.
  • 5:30 p.m. – Raffle drawing near the band performance. Tickets will be sold prior to the drawing. You must be present to win.
  • 6-8 p.m. – Haunted hike (no pets, please).

Campers are invited to participate in the fourth annual Campsite Decorating Contest. Prizes will be awarded.

Free parking will be available at the basketball court, Shelter #1, the visitor center and field. Accessible parking will be at the CCC Lodge.
