JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MARCH 23, 2019 – As temperatures increase, so does the activity on the prairie. Birds are singing, flowers are bursting from the prairie sod, insects are beginning to stir and bison are having babies! Bringing water, snacks, a hat and sunscreen and wearing sturdy shoes is recommended. Binoculars will be useful for looking at bison as well as other wildlife that may be out and about. Dress for the weather; the prairie winds can be cold this time of year. Please call 417-843-6711 to register for the hike.
