JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JULY 2, 2022 – The history of the Lake of the Ozarks is electrifying! Join park team members as they reveal the history of the area’s fascinating lands, water and people.

Is the lake natural? Who made the amazing swinging bridge? What are those old buildings? Find the answers to these and other questions at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 16. Ask the naturalist for a copy of the Highway 134 driving tour while you are there, too. 

Lake of the Ozarks State Park is located off Highway 42 in Kaiser. From Osage Beach, follow Highway 42 for 5 miles to reach the main campground. The program will be held at the northern edge of the swinging bridge. For more information, call 573-346-2500. In the event of inclement weather, the program will be cancelled.
