JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JULY 1, 2022 – Join Current River State Park team members, along with Kirsten Alvey-Mudd, as they make a blackberry feast Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17. They will make a wide range of blackberry treats that guests can sample. They will also demonstrate how to make jelly, blackberry kefir ice cream, blackberry cobbler and more.
This is an informative, hands-on class, but the good news is you don’t have to pick your own blackberries! If you would like to take some jelly home, please bring a small jelly jar to either demonstration. Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch and enjoy some time in the kitchen learning how to turn these bold berries into sweet treats.
Space is limited and registration is required. The program is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days. For more information or to register for the class, contact Connie at 573-751-1224 or connie.weber@dnr.mo.gov. Current River State Park is located at 11053 County Road 19D in Salem.
