JEFFERSON CITY, MO, AUG. 31, 2023 – Knob Noster State Park offers guests these fun weekend activities.

Saturday, Sept. 9: Night Hike on Buteo Trail
Explore the park with a guided hike on Buteo Trail. Starting at 8 p.m., guests will learn how to preserve the clear night sky over a moderately difficult mile-long loop that will last about an hour. Be prepared by bringing water, snacks and a flashlight. Guests should also wear sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing and insect repellent. Meet at the trailhead by Lake Buteo, the shelter house and the kayak hut. Trailhead coordinates are 38.74975, -93.58163. In case of inclement weather, the hike will be canceled.

Sunday, Sept. 10: Yoga in the Park with Suzy Latare
Yoga Instructor Suzy Latare will lead this guided yoga class at the park’s Clearfork Day-Use Area. Participants should meet at the Clearfork Shelter at 10 a.m. Beginners, as well as those proficient in yoga, are invited to attend the free program. Participants should be prepared for the outdoors with water, sunscreen and insect repellent, and also bring a yoga mat or outdoor blanket. 
Knob Noster State Park is located between Warrensburg and Sedalia on Highway 50 or off 23 Highway and DD Highway at 873 SE 10 in Knob Noster. The Clearfork Day-Use Area is located on the west side of the park near the Opossum Hollow Trail trailhead.
