JEFFERSON CITY, MO, OCT. 01, 2026 - The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has received an application from Doty Real Estate, LLC to construct a solid waste transfer station in Lawrence County. The proposed site is located at 21001 Lawrence 2210, near Aurora, directly south of the intersection of Lawrence County Road 2210 and Lawrence County Road 1210.
The department reviews all applications submitted by cities, counties and private owners to ensure that solid waste processing facilities are properly designed and constructed. Technical factors that protect Missouri’s environment are also examined. The department must also issue an operating permit before the facility can receive waste. Anyone with questions regarding the permitting process or technical factors of processing facilities may request a public awareness session.
