JEFFERSON CITY, MO, SEPT 15, 2022 – The Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Energy will hold a public hearing Monday, Sept. 19, to provide opportunity for comment on the department’s plan for Weatherization Assistance Program funding under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Grantee plan documents, including the annual file, master file and health and safety plan template, are available online at dnr.mo.gov/energy/weatherization/state-plan.

The Weatherization Assistance Program provides funding for cost-effective energy-efficient home improvements to eligible low-income households, especially those whose members are elderly, children or have physical disadvantages, and others most affected by high utility costs. The program’s objectives are to lower utility bills and improve comfort while ensuring health and safety.

The public hearing will be held via Webex from 1 to 2 p.m. or until all verbal comments for public record are received.
