Release Date

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, APRIL 5, 2022 – Team members at Roaring River State Park invite the public to celebrate Earth Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, April 22 at the Ozark Chinquapin Nature Center. The nature center will host a variety of organizations and activities throughout the day. This event is free and open to the public.

You may participate in craft making and other activities throughout the day with help from the East Newton High School Service Club. The Missouri Department of Conservation will hand out free trees at the nature center.

The public is strongly encouraged to follow social-distancing guidelines and be proactive in protecting themselves and others.

Roaring River State Park is located 7 miles south of Cassville on Highway 112 in Barry County. For more information about the event, contact the nature center at 417-847-2539.
