JEFFERSON CITY, MO, AUG. 19, 2024 – Not only can you hike and camp in a state park, you can also catch a concert or movie at one in southeast Missouri.

  • Saturday, Aug. 31 through Monday, Sept. 2: Summer Concerts at Echo Bluff State Park
    Join the Echo Bluff State Park team for some Labor Day Weekend concert fun. Bring a blanket or chair to the amphitheater and enjoy a free concert under the stars for some good family entertainment.
    • Saturday, Aug. 31 at 8 p.m.: Jimmy Hill and Friends
      This group plays a combination of classic country and rock – a little something for everyone.
    • Sunday, Sept. 1 at 8 p.m.: James Vankirk
      James has been singing and playing music for 36 years. He plays a wide variety of music.
    • Monday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m.: The Baker Family
      The Baker Family travels all over North America playing a wide range of classic country, bluegrass and original tunes. If you’d like, ask them about going on a cruise to Mexico with them!

The free concerts will be held at 35244 Echo Bluff Drive in Eminence.

  • Saturday, Aug. 31 – Movie in the Park: “Migration” at Lake Wappapello State Park
    Lake Wappapello State Park is hosting a movie night in the park. The free event is held at the park amphitheater and is open to the public. The movie begins at dusk. Lake Wappapello State Park is located at 8005 State Highway 172 in Williamsville.

This year’s concerts shows the empty amphitheater with a stage and seats that are actually grassy steps waiting to be filled up.
