JEFFERSON CITY, MO, AUG. 5, 2023 – Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Site is proud to host a special artifact collection throughout August. Jordan Cunieo, one of the historical site’s interpreters, has been researching the lives of women in Missouri’s Arcadia Valley during the Civil War.

In conjunction with her research, she has put together a special artifact collection that will be on display for the entire month of August. Provided by the historic site’s museum, this collection consists of letters and artifacts related to the daily life of women who lived in the Arcadia Valley during those trying times. These artifacts are from the museum’s archives and are rarely on public display, so this is a unique opportunity to view real history for yourself.

For more information, please contact the museum at 573-546-3454 and speak to Brick or Bryan. The Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Site is located at 118 E. Maple in Pilot Knob.
